Shipments from China are running smoothly. Currently, many customers from South America are purchasing their goods from Europe, because they get a better price than when they buy directly from China. This entails that the warehoused quantities reduce faster than planned.

Prices ex-China have been on a rather stable level for several months. The market price is almost at the cost price level, which is why there is hardly any room for negotiations. The availability of corn, the raw material from which erythritol is derived, is short in China at this time. So far, producers, however, have not increased the erythritol prices yet.
